Episode 016 - Don't sleep on the path to becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Fuchsia Angie CRNA, MSN 

 

Angela Ohanu started her nursing career journey when she graduated from high school in 2009. After 4 years of college at Georgia State University she graduated with her BSN in 2013. Angela worked as nurse extern with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in the Transplant Step Down Unit and later the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Her new graduate RN position was in the PICU were she worked for the next two years until starting her MSN in Nurse Anesthesia at Augusta University in 2015. While in her nurse anesthesia program she also worked PRN in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for the first year to assist with finances. Angela graduated with her MSN in nurse anesthesia in December 2017.

She has been a practicing CRNA in Georgia since February of this year. Currently, Angela works as a staff CRNA at a Level 1 Trauma Center that includes specialties in pediatric and obstetrical anesthesia.
